Η Chiana Coronis, στη δεύτερη ατομική της έκθεση, εμπνέεται από τον έντονο ρυθμό του Mαϊάμι - μια σύνθεση από 80’s neon φώτα, φοίνικες και παραλίες, συνδεδεμένη με την βαθιά πολιτισμική ιστορία από την 1920-30’s glam art deco σκηνή, που αποτυπώνεται με χαρακτηριστικά χρώματα όπως μπλε και ροζ παστέλ, σε συνδυασμό με φωτεινές πορτοκαλί, κίτρινες και πράσινες αποχρώσεις. Χρησιμοποιώντας μόνο το iPhone και mobile applications συλλαμβάνει και αποθανατίζει την ιδιαίτερη ατμόσφαιρα του Μαϊάμι: ρετρό εστιατόρια, ευτελείς επιγραφές από δημοφιλείς μάρκες, art deco ιστορικά κτίρια, εξωτικοί φοίνικες και ατελείωτες παραλίες. Με μια μεικτή τεχνική συνδυάζοντας φωτογραφικές εφαρμογές και layers, ενώνει ετερόκλητα σκηνικά σε μία φωτογραφία, απεικονίζοντας την πολυχρωμία & την ένταση του Μαϊάμι με την προσωπική της ματιά.

> > Η Chiana Coronis γεννήθηκε στο Λονδίνο το 1979. Αφού ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της στην Αγγλική Φιλολογία και στην Σκηνοθεσία, εργάστηκε ως freelance βοηθός σκηνοθέτη και στη συνέχεια αποφάσισε να ακολουθήσει το όνειρο της και να ασχοληθεί επαγγελματικά με την φωτογραφία. Ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της στο Λονδίνο όπου συνεργάστηκε με τον φωτογράφο David Loftus για τον παγκόσμια αναγνωρισμένο chef Jamie Oliver και στη συνέχεια ασχολήθηκε με την φωτογράφιση τοπίων και πορτραίτων. Η αγάπη της για τα ταξίδια την έχει οδηγήσει να επισκεφθεί το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της Νοτιοανατολικής Ασίας (Ταϊλάνδη, Καμπότζη, Βιετνάμ, Μιανμάρ, Λάος, Ινδία), την Αφρική και σχεδόν όλη την Ευρώπη. Η δεύτερη ατομική της έκθεση διαφέρει ως περιεχόμενο από κάθε προηγούμενη δουλειά της και επικεντρώνεται περισσότερο στην διερεύνηση διαφορετικών εφαρμογών και τεχνικών, υιοθετώντας την iphotography ως ένα νέο μέσο έκφρασης στο χώρο της τέχνης.

Chiana Coronis's second solo exhibition is inspired by the eclectic & hip jazziness of Miami - a mix of 80’s neon lights, palm trees and beach life combined with the deep cultural history from the 1920-30's glam art deco scene, marked by its characteristic bright colours from pastel blues and pinks to bright oranges, vibrant yellows, greens and more. Using only her iPhone and a few playful applications she captures the unique instant vibe of Miami : old fashioned diners, trashy replicas of high end brands, art deco historic buildings, exotic palm trees and long beaches. With a mix technique of photo applications and “layering”, she unifies different photographs so that they express different aspects and scenes, perfectly suited to this colourful, vivacious and visual place that Miami is for her.

> > Chiana Coronis was born in London in 1979. After completing her studies in English Literature and Film studies, she worked as a freelance assistant director before recognizing her desire to be a full time photographer. She began in London by working along side photographer David Loftus for the highly acclaimed chef Jamie Oliver and then turned her attention to travel and portraits. Her thirst for travel brought her to most of South East Asia including, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos and India, Africa and most of Europe. This exhibition is very different to any of her previous travel & photojournalist work and concentrates more on exploring different app techniques and embracing iphotography as an exciting new medium in the art world.
